State Programs

The Northeast SARE region supports state coordinators at sixteen land-grant colleges and universities across the region who deliver sustainable agriculture education shaped by local needs. Coordinators also provide information about SARE grant programs, project results, and other sustainable agriculture resources and opportunities.

With programs designed based on local need, each state is able to respond quickly to local priorities in production, marketing, and service; all with the goals of preparing agricultural service providers to teach new ideas to farmers, and leading farmers to adopt beneficial practices and approaches. Some states also work cooperatively, sharing resources and personnel, when they identify concerns and goals in common.

For more information about individual state programs, use the state list on the left. There you will find details about each state's coordinator and program staff, as well as information about current state education initiatives and past accomplishments.

You can also get grant summaries that give an overview of SARE investment state by state.
