Season Extension

Delaware State University and the University of Delaware collaborate with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in a joint professional development program that focuses on promoting the adoption of season extension strategies on the DelMar peninsula. Over the next three years (2011-2014)this project: will train agricultural service providers and farmers in a multi-faceted, comprehensive education program about season extension strategies that can help farmers increase profits, spread labor out over a longer time, deepen customer relationships, and meet the increasing demand for locally-grown foods.
