The Vermont state program initiative focuses on social sustainability and quality of life concerns of Vermont's farming community. Extension educators will be the primary participants, and over the next three years (2011 to 2014) their field-based training will include farmers and subject-matter experts as teachers.
The goal is to increase farm service provider understanding of social sustainability concerns and learn how to incorporate that insight into their work with farmers.
